Our partnerships with individuals, organizations, schools, churches and corporations help afford the Collinsville community the opportunity to provide low-cost services to residents in need while holding down expenditures.

Benefit Access
 (formerly Circuit Breaker) – Benefit Access is a program available through the Illinois Department of Aging for seniors and disabled. This program may help with a license plate discount. If you qualify for this program, you are eligible for a RTA / METRA Free Ride Pass. You have to apply online for this program. Our staff will assist with filling out the application. 

Emergency Assistance –
Emergency Assistance is an annual assistance program that helps residents alleviate a life-threatening circumstance or to assist in self-sufficiency. Some circumstances may include eviction or past due rent or mortgage, utility disconnection, or prescription assistance. Applicant must be a township resident and meet the guidelines set forth by the Township Supervisor.

Food Pantry – Township residents who are experiencing financial difficulty or on a fixed income are eligible for non-perishable food products. The food pantry is open during normal business hours. The Township office accepts donations of non-perishable food items, paper products, cleaning supplies, toiletries, grocery store gift cards, and cash.

General Assistance –
General Assistance is a monthly assistance program that assists with living expenses and may include medical assistance. Applicant must be a township resident and meet the guidelines set forth by the Township Officials of Illinois.

LIHEAP – Low Income Heating Assistance Program is an annual assistance program that helps with the high cost of winter heating.  You must meet the income guidelines. Call the office to make an appointment.

SAFELINK phone – Those who qualify for LIHEAP or SNAP may be eligible to receive a free cell phone with 350 minutes a month.

Share-the-Harvest Thanksgiving Dinner – Donors provide groceries or grocery store gift cards to make a Thanksgiving meal for less fortunate township residents. We have seniors and families to provide for. Please call if you would like to donate or if you would like to be a recipient.
